How it works
You buy spaces for Cogito Membership, they are yours to allocate
You populate the spaces with a teacher (group leader) and students
Student view
Every student is given a space on the course. They can then start studying the subjects. Each subject is broken up into a series of tutorials. At the end of each tutorial is a knowledge-reinforcing quiz. At the end of the subject is a final exam. Students can retake everything, as many times as they need.
Teacher view
The teacher is given a space on the course. But teachers also have access to the admin area, where they can check on student progress, and email students as needed. With our powerful analytics skills, teachers can take an overview of the whole cohort, drill down into individual students’ performance, or even see how students do in a particular quiz.
Set-up process
Purchase
Your school purchases the Cogito Membership Schools package. This gives you access to 19 student accounts (seats) and 1 teacher account. The account which buys the course is automatically the group leader. You can purchase extra student accounts at the same time by increasing the number from the default 20 seats.
Set up student accounts
After you have purchased the Cogito Membership Schools, go to My account then click the link to Group Management. Here, you will be able to add students by inputing their names and email addresses. You can add or remove students (according to your purchased spaces) any time, enabling you to exchange cohorts each year.
Send student codes
When you add users, we will automatically send them codes found in the Group Management dashboard. They will then be able to follow the link in the email to create their own account and begin learning. If you don’t have their email address, you can give them the codes yourself.
View student progress
Use the email function, as well as the course, group and quiz reports to manage and view student progress. All of this can be found in the in the Group Management dashboard.
