Using Cogito Education as homework

As a teacher myself, I know that finding the appropriate homework each week is hard. At Cogito Education, our ever-growing set of resources means that there is always something of the highest quality to set.

Simply direct your students to a specific course, which they can access from home.

Using Cogito Education

The benefits of using Cogito Education for homework are:

You can also check their progress through our progress tracker, which you alone have access to. You can view an individual’s progress, or the group’s progress on a specific quiz. Talking of quizzes…

Using Cogito Education’s quizzes

It’s important for teachers to be able to check comprehension quickly and easily. This is why we’ve built quizzes into each and every tutorial.

For students, actively engaging in a recall tasks allows them to cement recently acquired knowledge. Before being able to complete any tutorial, they must achieve 80% in their quizzes.

Using Cogito Education

At the end of each tutorial course (collection of tutorials), there is a final quiz. This questions students about the whole of their course, requiring a greater act of memory. You can ask students to take and retake these final tutorials at different points in your teaching so that memory is routinely reinforced.

The benefits of using Cogito Education’s quizzes are:

You can then see each quiz a student has sat, and how they’ve done in our student progress tracker…

Using Cogito Education to track student progress

As a teacher, you can get real-time information on a whole range of student performances including:

  • Tutorials completed
  • Scores in tests
  • When tests were taken

This level of tracking allows you to have complete scores for student charts, and track when they have not completed a particular assignment. You can also us the group management function to email your students (or a particular group of students who have, for instance, not completed a specific tutorial).
